When he was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia in 2018, his life and mindset changed completely. He decided to focus on his health and fitness. With this, he lost 110 kg in about 2 years. How did the turning point come
Dr. Deepak says that in 2018 I was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Then the doctor told me that I am a ticking time bomb and anything can happen to me in the next 5 years. The pneumonia treatment in the ICU and the doctor’s words really shook me. After being jokingly unable to do my daily chores, I realized that I needed to lose weight for the good of my life.
How was the diet-
- Breakfast- Poha/Upma/Roti, Soya Chunks, Salad
- Snack- fruits and almonds
- lunch- Rice / Roti, Dal / Chana or Rajma, Vegetable and Curd
- Dinner – Rice/Roti with Paneer and Vegetable
- Pre-Workout Meals- a cup of black coffee
- post workout meal protein rich food

According to Dr. Deepak, if you are calorie deficit, then any kind of exercise will help you in reducing your weight. But a good amount of resistance training and including the required amount of protein in the diet go a long way in building muscle.
What changes did you make in the lifestyle?
Dr. Deepak made many changes in his lifestyle to lose weight. According to him, your weight loss journey is successful only when you adopt some habits for life. Fitness is really a lifestyle. The best habit is to make a better choice with food and exercise every day.
Workout-
Dr. Deepak says that I worked for about 1.5 hours 5-6 days a week. I also added HIIT and cardio to my workout routine.
how to motivate yourself
Dr. Deepak says that I believe that enjoying weightloss has been the most experience for me. I never want to grow old, this is what motivated me to move forward all the time.
