New Delhi: Before the WTC Final, it had not happened that Rohit Sharma had captained any final and got defeated in that. This was the first final, which he lost. And, probably the biggest final of his career as well. Till now he had won the finals of tournaments like Asia Cup and Nidahas Trophy. But where victory was most important, they lost. There is an outcry over this defeat. In such a situation, now former captain Sourav Ganguly has said a big thing about the current captain and coach of Team India.
While on the one hand, Captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid are being criticized after Team India’s poor performance in the WTC Final. On the other hand, Sourav Ganguly in his own style has expressed high hopes from both of them.

Rohit should lead without fear – Sourav Ganguly
Ganguly, former captain of India and former president of BCCI, has expressed hope of fearless cricket from Rohit Sharma. He has asked them to face the situation without fear. In an interview, Ganguly said, “I want Rohit to continue captaining the team without fear. The ODI World Cup is after 4 months. A team that has Rohit, Gill, Kohli, Hardik, Jadeja, Bumrah, Shami, Siraj and other great players will win sooner or later.”
The former left-handed Indian opener further said that Rohit should lead the team till the World Cup. I don’t know what he will do after the World Cup. But, for the time being, it is better if the same captain remains.
Dravid will support Rohit in taking the team forward – Ganguly
Ganguly also talked about Rahul Dravid along with Rohit Sharma and said that I have played with Rahul Dravid. I know them. I have a lot of respect for him. He will definitely take the team forward as a coach along with Rohit. If these two coach and captain remain till the World Cup, then it is good for the Indian team.
There is power in what Sourav Ganguly said!
There is merit in what Sourav Ganguly said. Rahul Dravid’s contract is only till this ODI World Cup. As for the captain, it would not be a wise decision to change him before the World Cup. Anyway, after the defeat in the WTC final, there has been no talk of removing the captain. Talking about the poor performance of the team, which can be rectified only after getting on the field.
