Sanjay Singh is also the chief of the special investigation team that is probing the Aryan Khan case. He said, ‘As far as the media reports which say that there is no evidence against Aryan Khan, I would say that these reports are only based on possibilities and speculations. The statement of NCB was not taken before publishing these reports. Our investigation is not over yet, so it is too early to say anything at this point of time.
Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was detained by the NCB on the night of 2 October last year from the Cardiala cruise ship. The cruise was going from Mumbai to Goa and a drug party was allegedly taking place on it. Along with Aryan, 8 other accused were also taken into custody in the case, who were later arrested. Along with Aryan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant was also caught from the cruise ship.
The NCB has accused Aryan Khan of consuming drugs, indulging in drug dealing and even contact with international drug smugglers. There was a lot of ruckus on Aryan Khan’s bail too. The trial court had rejected the bail application. After which the Bombay High Court granted bail to Aryan on 28 October. After this, Aryan Khan was released from jail on 30 October. In this case, NCB has arrested 20 accused including two alleged Nigerian drug smugglers.
