Kyiv : More than six months have passed since the Russia-Ukraine war. The war has not reached any conclusion, but there is still a clear threat of Putin using nuclear weapons in this fight. A top Ukrainian general has given this warning. General Valery Zaluznyak said Putin’s ‘order’ to use nuclear weapons would take us to the brink of World War III. The general’s warning comes at a time when Putin’s army is frustrated on the battlefield and facing a shortage of weapons and troops. Russia has not only failed to defeat Ukraine, but it has also been forced to withdraw from Kyiv in the eastern region due to strong resistance. In such a situation, there remains a danger that Putin may use nuclear weapons to turn the tide of war.
As reported by The Sun, Zaluzniak used an article by a Ukrainian lawmaker to express his concerns. He added that there is a clear threat of nuclear weapons being used by the Russian military, in special circumstances. It is also not possible to completely rule out the possibility of direct participation of other countries of the world in nuclear conflict. Which means that the possibilities of a third world war are already clearly visible.

Putin can use nuclear weapons if he loses
The general said the West needs to warn the Kremlin that it will face retaliation if nuclear weapons are used. The Ukrainian general’s warning about the threat of Russia’s use of nuclear weapons comes after a warning from retired British general Sir Richard Barones. Richard had feared that Putin was “likely” to use nuclear weapons if he suffered a “defeat” in Ukraine.
Ukraine took back its territory
The Ukrainian general reported that Zelensky’s forces had recaptured its territory of 270 square miles to the east and south. Ukrainian security forces on Friday claimed new success in their retaliatory strike against Russian forces in the country’s eastern side and took control of a large village, after which they headed for an important transport junction. America’s top diplomat and head of NATO referred to this development. However, he cautioned that the war was likely to last for several months.
