China claims right to Taiwan
Pelosi issued an official statement announcing her East Asia tour. She said in this statement that she will visit four countries with a delegation from the US Congress. During this visit, she will discuss climate change, security and democratic governance in addition to the Covid-19 epidemic. However, Pelosi has not yet confirmed about her visit to Taiwan. China fears that Pelosi may go to Taiwan.
Earlier, when Pelosi was asked about his visit to Taiwan, he did not give any answer on this. Pelosi said that she could not talk about her travel plan due to security. Apart from this, the US military also had a lot of tension about Pelosi’s visit. The military feared that the Chinese army might shoot down Pelosi’s plane. Nancy Pelosi was to visit Taiwan earlier in April. But due to being Covid-19 positive, he postponed his tour.
The announcement of Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan was not digested by China. China considers Taiwan as its border. China is currently organizing military exercises on Pingtan Island, near Taiwan. This island comes in Fujian province. In recent times, the effect of this tension between China and America was also seen on the South China Sea. During this, America’s warship was also visible. Many experts were beginning to believe that due to Taiwan, war could also break out between the two countries.
Jinping also threatened
Global Times has used this war signal from the bottom of a think tank. This war signal was first used by China in the 1962 war against India and then in the 1979 war between China and Vietnam. Yang Minangze, who heads the country’s top think-tank Institute of Taiwan Studies, believes that encircling Pelosi’s plane with fighter jets was also part of a plan. He said that America should not make the mistake of underestimating the resolve of the people of China.
This fear of the military was further increased after one threatening article in this newspaper. Taiwan is now becoming a new cause of tension between America and China. On July 28, when Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke to his American counterpart Joe Biden on the phone, he bluntly said, ‘Anyone who tries to play with fire will be burnt to ashes’. Jinping gave this answer on the issue of Taiwan.
