India-China will practice together amid tension
It is worth noting that India and China are participating in this exercise, between whom tensions on the border have been going on for a long time. India and the US had carried out joint military exercises in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in recent months. In this, the commandos of the special forces of both the countries were involved in the exercise named Vajra Prahar. China’s Defense Ministry has expressed displeasure over this, saying that it strongly opposes any ‘third party’ interference on the border issue with India and expects India to move military along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Will abide by bilateral agreements not to practice.
Allegations of violation of agreements on China
China itself has been accused of violating these agreements in Eastern Ladakh, due to which there is a situation of stalemate. Senior Colonel Tan Kefei, spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense of China, said that the China-India border issue is an issue between the two countries. He said the two sides have maintained effective dialogue at all levels and have agreed to deal properly with the situation through bilateral dialogue.
