The farm consists of two buildings, each of 26 storeys. Promoters of the project say that around 25,000 animals will be housed on each floor. He said that when it is fully operational, the farm will be able to process 1,00,000 tonnes of meat at a time. The ‘modern’ pig farm, one of the many farms across the country, has reportedly been commissioned amid a surge in demand for pork in China.
Increased concern of animal lovers
Experts believe that building such a large farm is one way to increase the number of pigs that have been decimated by African Swine Fever in recent years. Animal lovers of China have different opinions on this automated farm, where the pigs will be kept in factory-like conditions. Emphasis on improving the quality of meat
