Marriages in China drop:Don’t get old before you get rich! China This fear has started troubling him. so he one child policy Finished it and talked about having three children. But now another problem has arisen in this way. The Chinese don’t want to get married.
Last year in 2022, about 8 lakh marriages have decreased in China. Ever since China started keeping records of marriages in 1986, it has happened for the first time that marriages have declined so much. In 2022, only 68.3 lakh marriages took place in China, which is the lowest. According to the data released by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China, this number is about 8 lakh less than in 2021.
Government in tension
For the last 10 years, there has been a continuous decline in marriages in China. In 2013, there were 1.35 crore marriages in China, which is a record in itself. But since then this number is going on decreasing. China’s population is aging rapidly. The falling number of marriages and the declining birth rate have worried Chinese policy makers. Last year, this happened for the first time in 6 decades, when the population of China decreased instead of increasing.
The Chinese marriage rate fell a whopping 11% last year.
It’s clear that the birthrate, barely hovering above 1.0, hasn’t bottomed out yet.

Why don’t the Chinese want to marry
There are many reasons why Chinese citizens run away from marriage. After Covid-19, unemployment in China has increased a lot. People do not have jobs, in such a situation they are avoiding marriage. The Chinese population is also aging rapidly, making marriages difficult.

Divorce rule also increased the difficulty
The second reason is the strict rules of the government regarding divorce. The government has made the process of divorce difficult to increase the population so that marriages do not break. Under this, one has to wait for 30 days before divorce. Due to this rule, Chinese are also running away from marriage. They feel that if there is a need to get a divorce, then this task will be very difficult.
we are going to see the consistent plunge of Chinese marriage numbers in the next decade. Let me take a rough guess: the number will be below 2 million in 2033. https://t.co/XlTkzeWAq1

different thinking of women
On the other hand, a different thinking about marriage is also developing among educated women in China. In her view, marriage is a part of patriarchal tradition, in which she does not want to be bound. They believe that this is a way of suppressing women.

China wants to increase population
China is faced with the problem of rapid aging of the population. Because of this, the government has taken several steps regarding marriage and child birth. In China, it is being encouraged to have three children. For marriage, 30 days leave is being given in the offices. Steps like free IVF treatment and subsidy on second-third child have been taken. Despite this, people are running away from marriage.
So 28% of Chinese population will be old
