Lashi, who formed the National Unity Government, said in an interview to the Irrawaddy newspaper that now his army has 250 battalions. Not only this, ‘Janata ki Sarkar’ has now become in 36 towns. This army of rebels has been trained by ethnic armed groups. This army is not only fighting the Myanmar army in the border area, but it is also running a vigorous campaign in the middle of the country. The interior of Myanmar has now become the center of the country’s armed insurgency.
‘Myanmar’s military regime suffered heavy losses’
Ever since the National Unity Government was formed after the insurgency in Myanmar, it has formed its own parallel administration. Many parts of the country have established their own courts. Lashi said that Myanmar’s military regime has suffered heavy losses on the diplomatic front. Not only the western countries but also the neighboring countries have shunned it. The military regime of Myanmar was also not allowed to participate in the recent ASEAN-US summit.
On the contrary, Lashi said that now we can openly meet foreign leaders. He said that our Secretary of State was called by US Senators. He had formally met the Foreign Minister of Malaysia. This is the success of the people of Myanmar. In fact, the Myanmar army failed to stop the rebellion that broke out after the coup. The situation has been that the rebel army is fighting with better weapons than the Myanmar army.
Bomb blast in Yangon, accusing each other
Myanmar’s military government and its opponents have blamed each other for Tuesday’s bombings in the country’s largest city, Yangon. One person was killed and nine others were injured in the massive explosion. A report in a state-run newspaper linked the blast to an armed movement opposing the military’s overthrow of pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s elected government last year. The report blamed the People’s Defense Forces for the blast. On the other hand, the spokesperson of NUG has blamed the military government for the blast.
