The Russian army is continuously attacking many cities of Ukraine. People are taking shelter in schools, hospitals and many government buildings to escape the bombings and shootings. Russian airstrike on the city of Mariupol killed several people. At least 21 people were killed when Russian forces targeted a school and a community center in Merefa, near the northeastern city of Kharkiv, according to a local Ukrainian official. Dozens of bodies were brought to the morgue in just one day in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv.

UN political chief and Under-Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo has also called for an investigation into the deaths of civilians in the Russian attacks. He reminded the UN Security Council that direct attacks on civilians are prohibited under international humanitarian law. India also expressed concern about the United Nations Security Council Briefing (UNSC) Ukraine conflict. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN TS Tirumurti said the world should not politicize humanitarian measures in Ukraine.
Kyiv: Global leaders have called for a fresh investigation into Ukraine’s attacks on civilian sites, including airstrikes on schools, hospitals and residential areas by the Russian military. According to a Ukrainian official, he had never seen such a situation in Kyiv in his lifetime. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Thursday that US officials are assessing possible war crimes and that Russia will face “wider consequences” if it is confirmed that it deliberately targeted civilians.
