How iPhone Users Can Top Up Spam Texts
block specific callers
While there isn’t an exact way to confirm that spam texts never arrive, there are steps that iPhone users can take to limit their frequency. One thing you can do is to block the number that sends spam texts.
This will prevent you from sending spam to that number in the future. You can do this by opening the text and then tapping on the number at the top. Then tap on the Information button. From there tap on the number again. Confirm not to tap on the blue phone icon on the right as this will initiate the call. On tapping on the number, you will see the Block this caller option at the bottom.
Hit it once and confirm. Now this number apple will not be able to send you messages.
Filter out unknown sanders
Another option to limit iPhone spam texts is to filter messages from unknown senders. With this option, text coming from a number that is not part of your contact list will be moved to a separate folder. To turn this toggle on, go to Settings > Messages, scroll down and turn on the toggle for Filter unknown sanders.
Before doing so, we should note that this filter can also catch non-spam texts from companies like Uber and DoorDash. In other words, if you turn on this filter, frequently check the unknown senders tab in the Messages app. A technology that allows users all over the world to connect and talk together, is being sabotaged by scammers for their own benefit. People suffer a lot from this type of spam message.
