If Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni had not told this thing to the whole world by tweeting, then it would not have been known what is the situation of electricity in Jharkhand. Generally, Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, has a load shedding of 5-6 hours a day. In such a situation, what will be the condition of the district headquarters can be guessed. In the scorching heat, the inverter is also responding. The local newspapers are full of news related to electricity and water problems every day. From the Chief Minister’s residence to the Chief Secretary, these newspapers go to the houses. Since the Chief Minister Hemant Soren has kept the responsibility of the Ministry of Power with himself, then he cannot even break the head of anyone else. When the mercury of Captain Cool’s wife rose in the scorching heat, the politics of the state also started crackling like lightning. From the government to the opposition, action was shown.
1690 crores paid on one tweet
During the meeting of the Jharkhand cabinet on Tuesday, apart from the already decided proposal, the matter of power crisis was overshadowed. Many ministers asked Hemant Soren to take concrete initiatives. After this, CM Hemant told the media that the government has provided additional amount to the electricity department. It is expected that now the power cuts will improve to a great extent. At the same time, he said that even after paying money many times, electricity is not available. At present, there is a power crisis across the country. Sometimes the demand for electricity increases suddenly, sometimes it becomes very less. But Hemant Sarkar agreed to pay tariff subsidy of 1690 crores to NTPC and DVC. This means that if Sakshi Dhoni had not told the government the truth by tweeting, then life would have been spent with sweat.
Sakshi asked- Why so much power crisis?
Along with the common man, celebrities are also upset due to power cut in Jharkhand. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni expressed her displeasure over the power crisis in Jharkhand. Actually Sakshi Dhoni lives at her farm house in Ranchi itself. Dhoni is currently in Maharashtra to play IPL. Sakshi tweeted that ‘As a taxpayer of Jharkhand, I want to know why there is so much power crisis here? We are taking our role seriously to save electricity. However, this is not the first time Sakshi has tweeted on the power crisis in the state. Also tweeted on 19 September 2019. Sakshi had said, ‘People in Ranchi are facing power cuts every day. Electricity is cut for 4 to 7 hours daily. Even today on 19th September 2019, there is no electricity for five hours. Today the weather is also good and there is no festival. I hope this problem will be looked into by the concerned department.
BJP’s politics started shining with ‘Sakshi tweet’
Sakshi Dhoni, wife of former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, took to Twitter to express her anger over the electricity problem in Jharkhand. After this, politics also got a current. BJP state president Deepak Prakash said that there is a crisis of everything in Jharkhand. Sakshi has tweeted only about what is going on in Jharkhand. Poor people, students, farmers, students are all upset. He said that Jharkhand is facing power crisis, water crisis, law and order crisis, work is being done to break constitutional limits on behalf of a person holding a constitutional post, he also has a crisis. That’s why BJP is running a program of demonstration at 50 places from 21-30 April. The government has completely failed on every issue.
Required 2500, Supply only 1900 MW
Jharkhand has an average power requirement of 2100 MW. But in summer peak hours (6-10 in the morning and 5-10 in the evening) the demand is increasing from 2400 to 2500 MW. At present only 1800-1900 MW power is available. To control the situation during peak hours, electricity is being purchased from National Power Exchange at the highest rate. Additional power purchases worth Rs 4-5 crore are being made daily. It is not that there is a problem of electricity only in Hemant Soren’s government. Earlier, when Raghuvar Das of BJP was the Chief Minister, this problem was also there. But no one has found a permanent solution for this. It is a matter of regret that where the thermal power plants of other states are illuminated by coal, the people of the same state are getting two-four for electricity.
Jharkhand News: ‘Electricity crisis is a national problem’, JBVNL MD’s answer to Sakshi Dhoni’s question regarding power cut
Is there electricity problem in Jharkhand or was it created?
In fact, due to international reasons, the import of coal in the country has reduced a lot. Due to which the entire dependence is on indigenous coal. Coal India and other coal production companies are supplying to other power plants of the country. If JBVNL is to be believed, Coal India and CCL are supplying coal to other states, but do so at will for Jharkhand. TVNL’s production is affected due to non-availability of coal. At the same time, in lieu of coal, the royalty of the state is made of Rs. 3-4 thousand crores, but even coal is not being supplied here. According to media reports, there is a 1000 MW power plant in Tata Jorabera, 400 MW of electricity is being demanded but not available. Maithon Power Plant is also a 1000 MW plant, the demand for 400 MW of electricity is also here. DVC’s CTPS and Karanpura have 1000 MW power plants, but even from here the power is not available as per the requirement. However, these companies are sending electricity outside Jharkhand. Overall, Jharkhand is not getting electricity as per its requirement. The work of 1800 MW North Karanpura Power Plant has been completed. With this, JBVNL will get 800 MW of power. But the transmission network screw is stuck.
