However, despite rain and thundershowers in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan, there was no rain anywhere in Delhi. The city’s base station Safdarjung recorded a maximum temperature of 35.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 30.5 degrees Celsius. Three stations – Palam, Jafarpur and Najafgarh – recorded the maximum temperature at 36.7 degrees Celsius, the highest among stations in Delhi, while Mayur Vihar recorded the lowest temperature at 31.9 degrees Celsius.
The IMD has predicted a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain/thundershowers. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 33 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively. In Monday’s forecast, the IMD had predicted moderate rain on Tuesday and heavy rain on Wednesday, but it did not happen. Instead, on Tuesday, the IMD shifted the rainy day to Thursday. But even then it had not rained.
