Hyderabad, Jul 9 (PTI) Due to incessant rains in Telangana for the past few days, drains remained in spate at many places while low-lying areas were flooded on Saturday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) meteorological station here said that Navipet in Nizamabad district received 23 cm of rain. People in low-lying areas faced waterlogging due to the rains while reservoirs were filled in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts. The warning issued by the Meteorological Center said that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at many places in Komaram Bhim Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal and other districts from 10 am on Saturday to 8:30 am on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Vijayalakshmi R. Gadwal held a conference with the officials and directed them to take necessary relief work.
