He told that there was friendship between Kiran and the minor girl. She had allegedly lured the girl away from Pithampur area of neighboring Dhar district on March 22. The SP said that the girl was taken to Dewas and an attempt was made to sell her to a person there for Rs 50,000. He told that this person had refused to buy the girl. After this, the girl made noise and insisted on going to his house.
Frightened by this, the accused killed the girl by crushing her head with a stone. He was afraid that the girl would reveal his secret after reaching home, due to which the police would arrest him. The SP said that on the night of March 24, in the Kshipra police station area of Indore district, the head of a minor girl was crushed with a stone. The police recovered his body the next day near the railway tracks.
He told that when the police searched the footage of about 100 CCTV cameras, the girl was seen going to the bus station in Mhow town with both the accused. This gave the police a clue about him. Rural SP said that Manorama’s husband and her son, who were among the arrested accused, are being searched.
