Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) MLA and former MP Devvrat Singh passed away on Thursday due to a heart attack. Giving information, the leader’s family said that the MP died in the morning due to severe chest pain and later heart attack. Former MP Devvrat Singh was 52 years old. The leader was declared brought dead by doctors after being taken to a hospital in Khairagarh in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, about 90 km from state capital Raipur.

His last rites will be performed in Khairagarh later in the afternoon. Let us inform that during the budget session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, the leader had also become Corona positive. However, later he won the battle with Corona. It is worth mentioning that Devvrat Singh, a member of the former royal family of Khairagarh, was first elected MLA in 1995 on a Congress ticket. He was re-elected in 1998 and 2003. In 2007, he won the Rajnandgaon parliamentary seat. However, in the year 2017, Devvrat Singh left the Congress. While leaving the Congress, the leader had said in one of his statements that he was forced to leave the parties. He is being neglected in the party. Deliberately he was kept away from the decisions of the party. After which Devvrat joined the Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) led by former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi in February 2018.

I had a close relationship with him since 1998. This is a big loss for the party. It is worth noting that the cases of heart attack are increasing very much in the country. Heart attack is being seen a lot, especially in the youth. Recently, Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar also died of heart attack at a young age.
