This morning there was panic in Delhi-NCR due to the news of bomb in more than a dozen schools. This warning was given to these educational institutions through e-mail. According to the police, the e-mails were sent from the same IP address. The team is investigating the IP address. Schools are being evacuated and every nook and corner is being searched. First the information about a bomb in Delhi Public School (DPS) of Dwarka Sector-3 came to light. Delhi Police has so far received information about bombs from at least 50 places.
Delhi Police is searching every nook and corner of DPS Dwarka. No suspicious item has been found so far. Bomb disposal squad is also present. Delhi Police says that such information was received from many schools in the national capital. The gist of the investigation so far is that such e-mails were sent to many schools from yesterday till now. Everyone's pattern is the same. BCC is mentioned in the e-mail and not the date line. This means one e-mail has been sent to many places. According to top police officials, it is possible that such e-mails may have been sent to some more schools. However, till now 50 phone calls related to the bomb have been received.
A day before this, there was information about a bomb in Chacha Nehru Children's Hospital, Geeta Colony. On Wednesday morning, DPS Dwarka administration got upset on such information. Without wasting any time the police was informed. Police arrived immediately. Fire department and bomb disposal squad are present in DPS. The entire school is being searched. The children were sent home. At 6 am, the fire department was informed quoting DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh that the entire school was being searched. Many police teams are verifying the e-mail and checking the IP address. With the help of technical surveillance, the sender of the e-mail is being traced.
