Qazi Abdul Majeed Farooqui told that I was in the garden when the news of the accident came. Screams were heard from the spot. After some time it came to know that an accident has happened in the temple. As soon as I got information about the accident, I could not stop myself and along with my team reached the spot. We had many civil defense workers with us. We started the rescue by keeping the crowd aside. Majid Farooqui himself is a civil defense worker.
Kazi arrived before the arrival of the police
After getting the information about the accident, Qazi Abdul Majeed Farooqui reached before the police reached the spot. He told that when we reached the spot, there was hue and cry and stampede. A crowd of people had gathered. We started the rescue by putting people on the edge. Kazi became emotional while mentioning the incident. He said that we tried a lot to convince the people but they were not ready to accept. Majid Farooqui said on the matter that when I reached the spot, there were many people of my acquaintance. Many people were from my colony.
The accident happened during Havan
Let us tell you that on the occasion of Ram Navami, the roof of the well built in the Beleshwar Mahadev temple of Indore fell down. There was a well in the temple premises which was roofed 10 years ago. On the occasion of Ram Navami, about 50 people stood on this terrace and participated in the aarti and havan. Due to overload, the roof of the stepwell collapsed, due to which 50 people fell into the well. So far the bodies of 35 people have been taken out in the accident. While the seriously injured have been admitted to the hospital.

After the accident, the local administration took charge on the spot and started the rescue operation. Rescue operation is going on at Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal temple. After 12 o’clock in the night, the army took over the front of the rescue. The army has taken out about 21 dead bodies from the well within 5 hours. It is feared that there may still be dead bodies in the well.
