Mumbai: The domestic stock market is witnessing great growth in early trading today. The BSE Sensex rose 455 points, or 0.77%, to 59,318.44. Among the gainers today, shares of Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, HCL Technology and Kotak Bank rose over two per cent. On the other hand, Tech Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, UltraTech Cement, Hindustan Unilever and Sun Pharmaceutical fell.
Nifty 50 index is also trading at 17,732.60 points with a gain of 0.89 percent. Similarly, Nifty Bank has gained 624 points and is trading at 39,130.30 points. Nifty Midcap is also trading 99 points higher at 7,699.60 points.
Which stocks were up
In the Nifty 50, Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Kotak Bank and Axis Bank were the top gainers in the morning session. On the other hand, shares of Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Larsen & Toubro and UltraTech Cement declined.
