After Rahul Gandhi filed nomination from Rae Bareli seat, local advocate Anirudh Pratap Singh had filed an objection against the nomination. In this, Rahul Gandhi was accused of being convicted in a defamation case and having foreign citizenship. However, since the objections raised by the Commission were not correct, the nomination papers have been declared valid. The advocate who filed the objection says that he will also file a PIL in the High Court in this regard.
