According to a study published in the Clinical Kidney Journal, Bruce Lee died due to drinking too much water, which his kidneys were not able to process. After reviewing the known facts surrounding Bruce Lee’s death, the research team concluded that the cause of death was cerebral edema due to hyponatremia.
Cause of death mentioned in the autopsy report
In Bruce Lee’s autopsy report, swelling in the brain was said to be the cause of death. It was believed that Bruce Lee had become a victim of cerebral edema due to the painkiller drug Equagesic.
Bruce Lee felt these symptoms before his death
Reportedly on the day of his death, Bruce Lee experienced headache and dizziness along with drinking water after a smoke. After which he took Equigesic and died two hours later.
