Even before the release of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Inshallah’ is also being discussed a lot. Alia Bhatt was cast in this film. Together there was Salman Khan. For the first time on screen, Salman and Alia were going to pair. But then the film got bogged down. That is, it was not created. It is understood that the creative difference between Salman Khan and Bhansali was a big reason for this. Alia Bhatt was then cast by Bhansali in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. Now for the first time, Bhansali has broken the silence on ‘Inshallah’ and the film with Salman Khan.
‘Salman my very close friend’
In a conversation with ‘Bollywood Hungama’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali once again said that Salman Khan is his very close friend. He says, ‘Salman is a very close and very good friend of mine. I want to work with him again. Even after Padmavat we tried to do this. But as human beings we all change with time. Salman too has changed. According to him, I have also changed.
‘I will always respect Salman’
Bhansali said that his relationship with Salman Khan is very good even today. He says that both of them also have conversations in between. It is not that there is no conversation between the two and both are like unknown people. Bhansali said, ‘I have a lot of respect for Salman. He worked for me in the film Khamoshi. He worked for me in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He stood by me even during Saawariya. Whatever I am today, Salman has a big role in it. For this I will always respect him. Yes, the ball is in their court now. It is for him to decide whether he will work with me in the future or not.
Salman was also the first choice in ‘Bajirao’
Bhansali told that when he told Aaliya that ‘Inshallah’ was canned and would not be made, then she was badly broken. During the release of the film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ in the year 2015, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had revealed that Salman Khan was his first choice for this film instead of Ranveer Singh. However, due to some reasons then the matter did not materialise.
