The head coach of the Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid, has praised Test captain Virat Kohli. Dravid also said that wherever he (Kohli) has played, there has been great success.
Team India’s new head coach says that Virat is one of those cricketers who try to do better all the time and keep pushing himself. On his third tour of South Africa, Kohli will be eager to win the first series for the country. He said, ‘Virat Kohli made his debut in front of me. He played his first Test match with me and I batted with him in that particular game. It is really good to see how he has evolved as a cricketer in 10 years.
In a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Dravid said, “He has led India to success in many matches with the bat and his leadership.” Dravid said, “In many ways, he has brought fitness, energy and ambition to the team, which is a great thing. He has always improvised, which has made it easy for the team to continuously improve.
Dravid believes that having an option in the Test team is good for the development of Indian cricket. The Indian team has reached South Africa amid controversies. Team India has to play the first test match against South Africa from Sunday. The Test match, starting on the occasion of Boxing Day, will be played at Centurion’s Super Sport Park.
