In the year 2020, Anurag Kashyap had said on working with Abhay Deol that it was very difficult to work with him in Dev D. He wanted to take advantage of being Deol. Anurag Kashyap had said that when the entire crew was living in Paharganj Hotel, Abhay Deol used to stay in Five Star. Because of such behaviour, many directors stay away from him.

But some people take advantage of it. I had also taught him (Anurag Kashyap) a good lesson. Since then I started ignoring him. Because he is a very toxic person. Life is very short. There is a lot to be learned in this. It is right to ignore such a liar and toxic person. I never asked him to stay in 5 star hotel. Rather he had said that it is not right to stay here as you are a Deol star. you stay in the hotel

Abhay Deol also said that when Anurag Kashyap gave that interview in the year 2020, he also sent me an apology message after that. He said- He (Anurag) does this all the time. After giving that statement, he messaged me that man my day was wasted. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that. If you want to shout at me, then please shout. I said that I don’t care. It’s been 12 years.
