This was Gamini’s second attempt in the Civil Services Examination. If we talk about the educational background of Gamini, then she has done B.Tech in computer science and in this year’s civil services exam, she chose sociology as her optional subject and got rank 3 with better preparation.
Father played an important role in the preparation
Gamini says that she used to study for nine to ten hours a day. He took coaching from Vinod sir in Patiala. His father was instrumental in helping him prepare for the exam. Singla’s parents are working as medical officers in the Himachal Pradesh government. When Gamini was asked about the top 3 candidates of the exam, she said that it shows that women are capable of achieving anything with their hard work and dedication. A total of 685 candidates, including 508 male and 177 female, were successful in the examination and the commission has recommended their names for appointment to various central services, the commission said.
