- Big relief to the students who failed in the improvement exam.
- The old pass mark sheet of the failed students will be considered.
- This decision has been taken in the interest of the students.
CBSE said that this decision has been taken to ensure that the academic career of a student is not affected. “Thus, it is a conscious and rational decision to grant relief only to such students who have failed in the improvement examination but passed as per the tabulation policy,” the CBSE affidavit filed by advocate Rupesh Kumar said.
Last year, the board could not conduct the annual examination for class 10 and 12 in the traditional way. CBSE had opted for an alternative evaluation policy to award marks to the students. A tabulation policy was made by the board and on the basis of that marks were awarded to the students. Under the tabulation policy, there was a provision where students were given a chance to improve their marks in case they were not satisfied with the optional assessment.

However, there was a condition in the tabulation policy that if a student appeared for the improvement test, the marks obtained would be considered as the final marks. It said that the student cannot claim the previous mark sheet.
