New Delhi: Now you do not need to visit RTO for every work related to driving license. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has made 58 services completely online. These also include a number of licensing-related services. The ministry has issued a notification in this regard. These include services like driving license, conductor license, vehicle registration, permit and transfer of ownership. With the help of Aadhaar verification on a voluntary basis, these services can be availed sitting at home.
The ministry said on Saturday that these services would be provided in a contactless and faceless manner. This will save the time of the people and reduce the compliance burden on them. This will reduce the congestion in RTO offices and improve their functioning. The services made online include application for learner’s license, change of address, name, photo, photograph in learner’s license, issue of duplicate learner’s license, making provision for obtaining learner’s license, etc.

Also, there is no need to visit RTO office for work like issuance of International Driving Permit, change of address in conductor’s license. This can be done through Aadhaar verification sitting at home. According to the notification, if a person does not have Aadhaar, then he can take advantage of these services in physical form. For this, he has to physically submit the optional document under CMVR, 1989.
