Hero Salutes Heroes Of The Nation Project: Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has announced a unique package of welfare measures for ex-servicemen and their families, saluting the courage and bravery of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel. 90 retro-fitted Hero Destini 125 scooters will be handed over by the ‘Hero Salutes Heroes of the Nation’ project launched under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform ‘Hero We Care’. These scooters are fitted with twin rear wheels, which are designed to suit the driving needs of the disabled ex-servicemen who have been disabled in the service of the nation.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Hero MotoCorp and CRPF Family Welfare Association (CWA), this project will offer a unique welfare package to 200 identified CRPF families. These are the families which have been severely affected due to the coronavirus pandemic. Hero MotoCorp has set a target to extend support to the women of the affected families. For this, the company will create conducive conditions for these women to sustain their livelihood and provide essential services like food security and nutrition along with the education of their children. The company will support children who have lost one or both of their parents or guardians and women who have lost their spouse due to COVID-19 in the country.
