G7 Summit Hiroshima: In the midst of war with Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reached Hiroshima, Japan. Powerful leaders of the world including India, America have arrived here for the G7 summit. On reaching Hiroshima, Zelensky said that ‘peace is very close’. Zelensky will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the meeting of the Quad leaders here. India has stayed away from supporting Ukraine in the United Nations Security Council.
Ukrainian President Zelensky said that meeting with Japan, G7 and allies… will promote cooperation for security and our victory. Prime Minister Modi is expected to meet Zelensky this evening. On the sidelines of the G7 summit, this meeting of the two leaders is scheduled for the evening of 20. Prime Minister Modi will participate in the third summit of Indo-Pacific Islands Co-operation on 22 May.

Quad leaders meeting at 8 pm

PM Modi’s three-day foreign tour
Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Hiroshima Peace Park in Japan during his visit. India has given the statue of Mahatma Gandhi to Hiroshima as a symbol of friendship. The Prime Minister reached Japan on Friday. The Prime Minister will participate in more than 40 programs during his three-day foreign tour. After the Japan tour, the Prime Minister will go to Papua New Guinea and then to Australia.
PM Modi’s strong message to expansionist China
In an interview with the Japanese media institute, PM Narendra Modi gave a strong message to expansionist China from the G7 summit. The Prime Minister said that India is committed to safeguarding its sovereignty and integrity. Also, on behalf of India, the Prime Minister advocated peaceful settlement of maritime disputes under international laws. China is continuously promoting its expansionist agenda in South China Sea and East China Sea. Its disputes with many countries are about this.
