Indonesian MP has told that Indonesia’s parliamentary budget committee has approved an additional 15 trillion rupees ($ 1.01 billion) for the construction of the new capital Nusantara.
The government will spend an additional 15 trillion rupees this year to build the capital, which is separate from the 22 trillion rupees allocated for the development of Nusantara on the island of Borneo in 2023. This Muslim country is insisting on completing the main administrative offices of the capital by the middle of the year 2024. Indonesia’s plan is to shift the Rashtrapati Bhavan there by the year 2024. Apart from Rashtrapati Bhavan, offices of ministers will also be built in the capital, in which at least 16 thousand civil service officers, army and police officers are included.

Presidential elections will be held in Indonesia next year
Indonesian President Joko Widodo has said that only 20 percent of the total cost of the new capital project, ie $ 32 billion, will be spent by the government, while the rest will come from the private sector. The great thing is that despite encouragement from the government, not a single contract has been signed to build the capital, as investors are concerned about the feasibility and sustainability of the project. Indonesia will hold elections in February 2024 to elect a new president. This will be the last term of President Joko Widodo. He was occupying this post for the second time.
