TTP not part of Afghan Taliban
Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a TV interview that the TTP as an organization is no longer part of the Taliban. His purpose and ours are not the same. He said that we will advise the TTP to focus on peace and stability in its country. It is very important that TTP eliminate the possibility of enemy infiltration in this region and Pakistan.
Taliban also told Pakistan government
Zabiullah Mujahid also advised the Government of Pakistan and said that we appeal that they should look into the demands of TTP for the betterment of this region and Pakistan. He even claimed that the Taliban does not interfere in the internal affairs of any other country, but he may have forgotten that the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and TTP was done by his own number two leader, Afghan Interior Minister and American Most Wanted Sirajuddin Haqqani. .
TTP accuses the government of not fulfilling the demand
The TTP issued a statement alleging the failure of the Pakistan government to fulfill the agreement. The agreement was sent to the Government of Pakistan through the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban Government) on 25 October 2021. According to the agreement, both sides had accepted that the Taliban would act as a mediator and both sides would form five-member committees, which would discuss the demands of both sides under the supervision of a mediator.
What are the demands of TTP?
According to a report in The Express Tribune, the TTP had made three demands during its meetings with Pakistani authorities regarding the peace deal. These included allowing the opening of a political office in a third country, reversing the merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, and the introduction of an Islamic system in Pakistan.
