- An ostrich was seen running with trains on a major expressway in China
- Karaswar made a video of an ostrich, people said – poor scared bird
- The ostrich had fallen from the moving vehicle, after some time returned to the driver
It is not surprising to see humans in the forest, but it is really shocking to see animals on the streets. A similar sight was seen on a main road in China when an ostrich was seen running through the traffic of vehicles. This ostrich was running at high speed, whose video was recorded by a car rider passing through the road in his mobile. At first sight, this giant bird appears to be scared.
People’s Daily, China shared its video on Twitter. The caption accompanying the video read, ‘Fast and Furious: An ostrich was seen running on the Rongcheng-Wuhai Expressway in northern China on Monday. The ostrich later returned to the driver who had accidentally dropped it from the vehicle.’ Commenting on the video, a user wrote that how scared the poor bird is.
Wild animals have already taken to the streets
This is not the first time in China that humans are shocked to see a wild animal on the streets. Earlier, a herd of elephants had lost its way from Yunnan, southern China. These elephants wandered for 17 months and continued to cause havoc in the human settlement. These 14 elephants traveled 500 km and caused a loss of more than Rs 7 crore 82 lakh. The elephants had stunned the government as they were being monitored by 400 emergency personnel, 120 vehicles and a swarm of drones wherever they passed.
Elephants wreaked havoc in China
There is no solid evidence as to why these elephants went on this journey. Chen Mingyong, a professor at Yunnan University, suggests that herd leaders may have led the whole group astray. Probably because they have ‘lack of experience’. China is one of the only countries in the world where the elephant population is increasing. Due to conservation efforts and hunting bans, the number of elephants in Yunnan province has increased from 193 in 1990 to 300 today.
