    In fact, on February 6 this year in Turkey, there was devastation due to a severe earthquake. Many buildings were razed to the ground and thousands of people were buried under the pile of debris. In such a situation, India had sent a contingent of 151 NDRF personnel and three dog squads to Turkey. This team did relief and rescue work in Turkey for several days continuously without stopping. In the midst of severe cold and devastation, these soldiers had saved many lives continuously. The team had gone to Turkey with a large quantity of food and medical facilities.

    Love for Pakistan became a compulsion?

    Despite this, Turkey’s attitude and its affection towards Pakistan is not taking its name. This has been known from the G20 meeting held recently in Kashmir. Four countries have not participated in this meeting held in Kashmir. These include countries like China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. China considers Kashmir as ‘disputed territory’ so it is understandable that China did not participate. While Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt are members of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Pakistan is also a member of this organization and it has raised the issue of Kashmir in front of it many times.

    Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has many times taken the side of Pakistan on the Kashmir issue on the international stage. He has been talking about peace on the Kashmir issue for the last three years in the United Nations General Assembly. Although Turkey’s tone has weakened a bit as compared to earlier, but not attending the G20 meeting is showing Turkey’s affection towards Pakistan.

    PM Modi’s message to Türkiye

    While going to Australia, PM Modi has mentioned about the natural devastation in Turkey, as well as he also told how India had sent aid to Turkey. The mention of this in PM’s speech can also be seen in such a way that it was a befitting reply to Turkey. India helped Turkey without any discrimination in times of crisis, yet Turkey has stayed away from the G20 meeting being held in Kashmir.

    4 countries together boycotted

    After the abolition of Article 370 by the Government of India, the first international event is being organized in Jammu and Kashmir. In such a situation, three member countries of G20 including China, Turkey and Saudi have not attended this meeting. At the same time, 9 other countries are being specially invited, out of which even Egypt has not participated in this event.
