A New York grand jury has indicted Trump for making secret payments to porn star Stormy Daniels. There was an intense internal conversation to hush up a shocking revelation ahead of the 2016 presidential election. This disclosure was about the relationship between Trump and Daniel. It was claimed that Trump and the porn star, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, were in a relationship in 2006. A year before this, in 2005, Trump was married to his current wife, Melania Trump.
Cohen pleads guilty
At the end of the campaign, Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 to cover up the matter. American media exposed this news after which Cohen cooperated with the public prosecutors. In 2018, he pleaded guilty to violating federal campaign finance laws, including tax and bank fraud. Cohen testified that the Trump Organization gave Cohen the money to pay Daniels.

Trump is haunted by the fear of arrest
Trump has declared himself innocent in the whole matter. He has questioned the investigation and termed the trial as ‘political victimisation’. Trump is currently leading the race to become the Republican nominee for the 2024 election. Trump had predicted his arrest earlier this month. In a social media post, he asked his supporters to protest. In the past also, Trump has used his supporters to disrupt the election process.
