PM Modi In Papua New Guinea: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Papua New Guinea has come to an end. Now he will leave for Australia. Here the Prime Minister has a big program in Sydney. Prime Minister James Marape had touched the feet of PM Modi who reached Papua New Guinea last evening. Now he has called the Prime Minister the leader of the Global South.
Prime Minister Modi had arrived to attend the third summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Co-operation (FIPIC). PM James Marape said in his address that he is a victim of global powerplay… You (PM Modi) are the leader of the Global South. PM Marape said that he supports India’s leadership on the Global Forum.

We are victims of geopolitics and global power struggle
PM Marape expressed concern over the rising inflation in the world due to the Russia-Ukraine war. He said that due to this a crisis has arisen for us small economies. FIPIC includes India and 14 Iceland countries. PM Marape said that inflation has broken the back of us small economy countries. We are getting bogged down in the geopolitics and global power struggle of big countries. The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea appealed to PM Modi to become the voice of Iceland countries.
Appeal to PM Modi to become a lawyer for Iceland countries
The representation of small island countries in G20 and G7 countries is negligible. In such a situation, he said that he is a supporter of India’s leadership on the Global Forum. We have less land, less population but our place in the Pacific region is big. The world uses it for trade, commerce and movements. PM Marape appealed to Prime Minister Modi to become the advocate of Iceland countries. PM Marape expressed commitment to establish good relations with India.
