In a conversation with Al Arabiya TV channel, Shahbaz Sharif requested PM Modi to hold serious and honest talks on all the burning issues including Kashmir. He said that UAE can play an important role in this. He said, ‘I have a message to India’s leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi that let’s sit and talk. This conversation will be serious and honest so that issues like Kashmir can be resolved. Shahbaz alleged that India ended the autonomy of Kashmir by scrapping Article 370. He also alleged that minorities are being persecuted in India.
UAE gave a big blow to Pakistan regarding Kashmir
Pakistan PM told the world that India and Pakistan are neighboring countries and both have to live with each other. It is up to us to live with peace and either move on the path of development or keep fighting and wasting time and resources. We have fought three wars with India and this has brought distress, poverty and unemployment to the people of our country. We have learned our lesson and we want to live in peace. We want solutions to our real problems. We want to end poverty and achieve prosperity. We want to give education and health to our people instead of wasting money on bombs. This is my message that I want to give to PM Modi.
This statement of Shahbaz has come at a time when India’s friend UAE had given a big blow to Pakistan regarding Kashmir in the past. In fact, the Pakistani PM had gone on a visit to the UAE in the past, but Kashmir was not mentioned in the joint statement issued between the two countries. Earlier, UAE had also announced that it would also invest in Kashmir. At the same time, Pakistan wanted UAE to stay away from Kashmir and consider it a disputed issue.
UAE is India’s friend, lakhs of Indians work
Not only this, UAE also participated in the recently organized Voice of Global South summit organized by India, which is considered a symbol of India’s growing power. PM Modi had recently visited UAE and met the President. UAE is investing heavily in India. Millions of Indians also live in the UAE. This gives India billions of dollars of foreign exchange.
