film in uk ‘The Kerala Story’ There was a ruckus after it was shown on 19 May. A Muslim activist disrupted the screening of the film and also threatened the audience. However, the shows of ‘The Kerala Story’ were canceled in the UK last week as the film could not get the age classification from the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). Now many videos of the screening of the film in the UK have surfaced on social media.
It can be seen in the viral clip that a Muslim activist named Shakeel Afsar is trying to stop the show. Shakeel was seen barging into the theater in Birmingham, shouting and screaming. At the same time, he is seen threatening the audience of the film. However, the audience fiercely opposed his behavior and reprimanded him, after which his attitude subsided. The security guard pushed Shakeel out of the cinema hall.

Shakeel re-shared a video of the chaos during a screening of the film on Twitter on 20 May and wrote, “Extremist BJP/Hindutva propaganda has no place in the UK.” In fact, ‘The Kerala Story’ claimed to show the stories of girls who were allegedly lured into joining ISIS.
‘The Kerala Story’ has earned around 200 crores so far
The film shows how women from Kerala were coerced through love jihad, impregnated and taken to Iraq and Syria to join ISIS. The film has been at the center of controversies ever since its trailer was released and several opposition leaders have accused the film of spreading hatred in the country. This film has been directed by Sudipto Sen and Adah Sharma has played the lead role in the film. It was released on the big screen on 5th May and till now has done a business of around 200 crores.
