Ahmed Sharif said, ‘If due to any misunderstanding, India tries to hatch a conspiracy against Pakistan, we will give a befitting reply to it. There should be no doubt about it. The new DG did not stop here. He said, ‘If need be, we can take this fight to the enemy’s territory as well.’ He made baseless allegations of propaganda against Pakistan on India. The new DG ISPR also talked about the security situation in the country.
‘There is not a single ‘no-go area’ in Pakistan’
He said that it was due to the efforts of the Army that there were no ‘no-go areas’ in the country. He claimed that the army has conducted 8,000 operations against terrorists. Ahmed Sharif said that the perpetrator of the terrorist attack on the Peshawar mosque in January 2023 was from Afghanistan. On the other hand, those who attacked the Karachi Police Headquarters were residents of Lucky Marwat and South Waziristan. He attributed the recent rise in terror incidents to links between Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Baloch insurgents.
