The arrest of Imran Khan, the gathering of supporters and the defeat of the army, is Pakistan on the way to another civil war?

Lahore: In the midst of a terrible economic crisis, an extraordinary political crisis has also arisen in Pakistan. The police, who came to arrest former Prime Minister Imran Khan, used tear gas and water cannon on his supporters. An atmosphere of sympathy for Imran can be seen across the country. Hundreds of his supporters were ready to give up their lives for their leader. All the efforts made by the Pakistan Army and Police failed and the former PM could not be arrested. If experts of Pakistan affairs are to be believed, Imran has reacted to this whole issue with full force. There is an atmosphere of complete chaos in the country and even the economy has gone down the drain. In such a situation, the question is arising that in Pakistan, which has remained unstable for many decades, has the situation of civil war again?

    Uncontrollable situation in Lahore

When the police reached Lahore’s Zaman Park from Islamabad, the situation went out of control. Police officers from Islamabad along with the Punjab Police tried to enter inside Imran’s house. The police had all the weapons to control the crowd. Even after taking the arrest order from the Islamabad court, the police had come to arrest Imran. Imran was to be arrested in the Toshakhana case. In this case, Imran is accused of keeping gifts like expensive watches with himself.

    54 policemen injured
The whole world saw what happened in Zaman Park. Imran’s supporters did not suffer much damage, but 54 policemen were definitely injured, including a senior police officer. The situation turned from bad to worse when Imran Khan appealed to his supporters to take to the streets. The former PM appealed to supporters present in several cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi and Peshawar to take to the streets. At the time when the police had launched a special operation against Imran, at the same time he was addressing his supporters through a broadcast message.

    Imran warned
Imran also warned the police that he would not be able to control his supporters for long. Hundreds of supporters were present outside Imran’s house. Imran once said in an interview to BBC that Pakistan needs neutral people from the army to every organization who are accountable to the law. If experts are to be believed, even though many people laugh at Imran’s talk, it is also true that he is promoting an issue which is related to a common man. Pakistani celebrities are also associated with Imran Khan and the police are not able to understand how to stop them.

    Petrol expensive amid ruckus
Experts say that Imran could not be arrested even in the second attempt after March 5. In such a situation, all efforts only prove foolishness. If this situation continues, then the situation of the country will be of civil war and it will be a very dangerous situation. The Lahore High Court has intervened in this case and the arrest of the former PM has been stayed. When there is such a situation in the country, at the same time the government has increased the prices of high speed diesel and petrol. While high speed diesel is Rs 293 a litre, petrol is now being sold at Rs 272 a litre. This will not directly affect the middle class and the poor, but the people who are among the richest of Pakistan will also be affected.

The reality of the army and the government

About eight lakh Pakistanis have left the country last year. Some of them were very talented and educated. These were the people who were hit the most by inflation and the severe climate crisis. What has happened in Zaman Park is very serious. If the coming days are estimated according to this situation, then those situations will be quite explosive. Under the protection of Imran Khan, the army, which is considered a stable organization, has faced a lot of difficulties. Along with this, his future has also started appearing in the dark. The public has also understood how rapidly the wealth of the retiring general and his lower-ranking colleagues has grown. In such a situation, it is bound to increase resentment against the government and the army.
