Train will start in 2024
The name of this train is TGV M. TGV is a type of high speed train. The company that makes this train says that it is the train of the future. This wonderfully redesigned train will be introduced into the Paris rail network starting 2024 and across France over the next 10 years. TGV is one of the most famous high speed train brands in the world. It has been a major part of European rail since the early 1980s.
Order to make train was given in 2018
In 2018, the French state-run train company and TGV-controlled SNCF ordered 100 TGV M trains at a cost of $2.7 billion. An additional 15 trains were ordered to be built in August 2022. Alstom says most trains will run in France and about 15 trains will run internationally.
Speed is 350 kmph
There is no difference in the speed of TGV M train. Earlier also these trains could catch the speed of 350 kmph. Now the new model train will also run at the same speed. “We don’t want to go too fast in 2022,” said Alstom spokesman Philippe Molitor. Because they take a lot of energy. Our goal is to make high speed travel for more people.
Nose is longer than earlier trains
The nose of the TGV M will be just 40.5 cm longer than the earlier TVM trains. They will be bigger not only from the front but from all sides. It will have 740 seats. Along with this, Alstom said that the second class can be made equal to the first class by easily changing the interior of this train at any time. Sufficient space can also be made for storing luggage. Running the TGV M would require some infrastructure changes on the French rail network. For example, at some stations the STOP signs will have to be changed. So that they do not obstruct the long nose of the train. Train drivers are also constantly involved in its design.
