In fact, in the year 2018, India had signed a deal with Russia to buy S-400 missiles. According to the country’s Air Chief VR Chaudhary, the first batch of S-400 missile defense systems will reach India this year. “In October 2018, India signed a $5 billion deal with Russia to buy five units of S-400 air defense missile systems.”
