PTI leader and former Information Minister of Pakistan Fawad Chaudhry said that begging for Kashmir has not been Pakistan’s policy. PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhary tweeted, ‘I am surprised to hear the statement of Shahbaz Sharif. Our stand is on Modi to restore the real status of Kashmir. Only after this will Pakistan hold talks. Begging for talks is not Pakistan’s policy and we strongly oppose Shehbaz Sharif’s stand. They will not be allowed to sell Kashmir. Meanwhile, the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office has now given a clarification on Imran Khan’s party’s strong opposition.

According to Pakistani media, the office of PM Shehbaz Sharif has clarified that the PM has consistently said that Pakistan and India must resolve their bilateral issues through dialogue and peaceful means. This especially includes the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistani PMO said that we have repeatedly said that talks with India will happen only when the decision to abolish Article 370 is withdrawn. Shahbaz said that without this talks with India are not possible.

The spokesperson of the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office said that the issue of Kashmir should be resolved according to the resolutions of the United Nations. Shahbaz Sharif is being trolled fiercely in Pakistani social media after his conversation statement. Shehbaz Sharif has urged the UAE to cooperate between India and Pakistan on the issue of Kashmir and bring the two back to the negotiating table.
