In the midst of war against Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered to increase security on his border. Behind this order of Putin is to strengthen the security of the Russian army and civilians in the Ukrainian areas under the control of Moscow. Apart from this, emphasis was also laid on ensuring fast movement of both military and other vehicles like cargo including food humanitarian aid in these areas.
Speaking in a congratulatory message to the Border Service, a branch of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), on the holiday of Border Defense Day, Putin said that their job involved firmly covering areas around war zones. This message from Putin was posted on the Telegram messaging channel of the Kremlin.

The order from Russian President Putin to increase security on the border has come at a time when there has been an increase in attacks inside Russia in the last few weeks. Drone attacks have increased especially in the border areas of Russia. An oil pipeline north-west of Moscow was also attacked on Saturday.
Three people injured in Saturday’s attack
On Saturday, officials said three people were wounded in an attack from Ukraine in Belgorod, Russia. This is an area which was in the target of the Ukraine Army. The attack also raised many questions on Russia’s defense and military capability. The area of Kursk and Belgorod has been a target of the Ukrainian army since the beginning. Electricity, rail and other military infrastructure have also been damaged in the attack.

Ukraine said – will speed up the retaliatory attack
Ukraine signaled on Saturday that it would step up retaliatory offensives to retake territory captured by Russia in the 15-month-long war.
