‘Putin is preparing for new attacks’
It comes as NATO defense ministers meet for a two-day summit in Brussels to discuss plans for military support for the war-torn country. The Daily Mail reported that NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg told member states of the military alliance that they should increase deliveries to ensure Ukraine can fight back against Russian aggression. Stoltenberg, a former Norwegian prime minister, said: “It has become a serious war of logistics and therefore also a war of logistics. It is really a great effort by the allies to be able to get the ammunition, fuel, spare parts that are needed.
Stoltenberg said, ‘We do not see any indication that President Putin is preparing for peace. What we see is the opposite, they are preparing for more wars, and new attacks. Ukrainian officials said Moscow was planning a more widespread offensive on the eastern Donbas regions, but also launching new assaults on Kharkiv in the northeast and Zaporizhia in the country’s southeast with planes and thousands of tanks and armored vehicles. Such moves are common during the Cold War, but this is the first time Russia has taken such a step. The Daily Mail reported that Ukraine is reportedly preparing to use British long-range missiles to attack Russian-occupied Crimea. At the same time, Russia is preparing to launch a new wave of its attacks.
