Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday said that talks with India are possible only if it withdraws its ‘illegal action’ of August 5, 2019. Without India returning this move, talks are not possible. Pak PMO a day before this statement Shehbaz Sharif had requested for talks with PM Modi. He had said that the UAE could play an important role in bringing the two countries to the table for talks. Shahbaz made this statement in an interview with UAE’s Al Arabiya channel.
‘Think before calling Modi ‘anti-Islamic”
Far from Indians, even Pakistanis themselves do not agree with Shahbaz’s statement of ‘expressing concern’ for the minorities in India. Sharing an old video of PM Modi, a Pakistani Twitter user wrote, ‘Next time think twice before calling Narendra Modi ‘anti-Islamic’.’ In the video, Modi is seen giving his views on Islam in an interview with an Indian news channel. This video is from when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
‘I am not against Islamic ideology’
In the video, Narendra Modi says, ‘I am not against Islamic ideology… not at all. If a Hindu is against Islam, he is not a Hindu. Because Hindu has taught that all religions are equal.’ Earlier, another video of PM Modi was shared by Pakistanis. In this, he was seen saying that ‘we forced Pakistan to wander around the world with a bowl’. This video was shared by a PTI leader but when it was found that the video is from 2019, when Imran Khan was in power in Pakistan, he himself got trolled.
