Lahore: A man in Pakistan cut off the nose, ears and lips of a police constable for blackmailing his wife and forcing her to have an illicit relationship. The police of Punjab province gave this information on Monday. On Sunday, prime accused Muhammad Iftikhar and his accomplices first severely tortured constable Qasim Hayat and then cut off his nose, ears and lips in Jhang district, about 200 km from Lahore, police said.
A police officer said, “Iftikhar suspected that Hayat was having an affair with his wife. He along with 12 of his accomplices kidnapped Hayat while returning home and took him to a secluded place, where he was subjected to severe torture and severed his body parts with sharp weapons.’ The constable was taken to the district headquarters hospital in Zhang, where his condition is said to be critical.

Case was filed last month
Last month, Iftikhar had filed a case against constable Hayat under sections 354 (assault on woman), 384 (extortion) and 292 (obscenity) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Iftikhar had claimed that Hayat had forced the wife to have an illicit relationship while threatening to kill her son.

Iftikhar had said that when his wife met Hayat, he forced her to have sex and also made a video of the act and later started blackmailing her. Police said that raids are on to trace Iftikhar and his associates.
