Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been made serious allegations by the leader of former PM Imran’s party. These allegations are from the time when he was the Petroleum Minister of Pakistan. However, the name of the Indian company is not yet known.
He claimed that the former prime minister had tried to give the impression of being an honest person as the prime minister, but this was far from the reality. Responding to Gill’s allegations, Abbasi challenged the PTI leader to take the matter to court if he had evidence. In a statement from Islamabad, the former prime minister said PTI and its ‘garbage brigade’ have been ruling the country for four years and have instituted two cases against them. Abbasi urged his political rival to file another case against him and file a petition in a court to produce “so-called evidence”.
During his press conference, Gill also told reporters that PTI chief Imran Khan was briefed about the relief efforts to help the flood victims in Punjab and the progress made on the realized social security and poverty alleviation programme. He said the PTI president will separately meet party MPs from six divisions of Punjab to discuss party affairs and the strategy for the next general election.
