Several PTI leaders condemned the arrest of Fawad Chaudhary. PTI wrote on its official Twitter handle, ‘There are reports that the puppet government will try to arrest Imran Khan tonight.’ Supporters raised slogans and expressed their anger towards the government.

Talking to the media before the arrest, Fawad Chaudhary targeted the Shahbaz government. He termed those involved in the alleged conspiracy as traitors. Chaudhary said, ‘If the police have courage, they should come and arrest Imran Khan.’ Another party leader Hammad Azhar claimed that the government was working to create an atmosphere for the arrest of Imran Khan.
