Islamabad: The condition of Pakistan is continuously getting worse. After flour, there is now a power crisis in Pakistan. On Monday, there was a fault in Pakistan’s National Electricity Grid. Due to this, a large part of Pakistan reached darkness during the day itself. Power cuts are being seen in big cities of the country including Karachi. Power cuts were also observed in the capital Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar. Dangerous scenes are now being seen in Pakistan due to power cuts. Metro trains have stopped where they were.

After the power cut, now a video has come from Pakistan. It is seen that the metro train stopped in Lahore as soon as the lights went out. After the train stopped on the way, all the passengers were taken out by opening the emergency gate. It is seen in the video that people are moving towards the station on foot from the side of the track. A Twitter user wrote, ‘Metro operations on Orange Line in Lahore have come to a standstill due to power failure. If the train was stopped midway, people are walking on the track.

    Electricity expected after 14 hours

Pakistan’s Electricity Minister Khurram Dastgir said that grid failure is not a major problem. Power will come back soon. Power cuts are often seen in Pakistan. Mismanagement and lack of investment in infrastructure have been blamed for this. The power minister said that the lights would be fully restored by 10 pm. Although he said that it is expected that the light will come even before this. If the time of 10 o’clock is added, then light will come on in Pakistan after 14 hours.

    why is there no electricity

Electricity in Pakistan is mostly made from coal. Pakistan also imports coal in large quantities. To reduce this expenditure, the Government of Pakistan has ordered the closure of markets after 8 pm. The power minister said, “In winters, the demand for electricity decreases across the country, so as an economic measure, we temporarily stop the generation of electricity at night.” He further said, “When they were commissioned today, frequency fluctuations were observed somewhere in southern Pakistan, after which each and every unit of power generation got shut down.”
