Kingstown: President of India Ram Nath Kovind is about to inaugurate the Bharat Marg in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. During this a grand program will be organized, in which St. Vincent and Grenadines Prime Minister Ralph E Gonsalves and people of the local community will be present. It is being told that earlier the name of this road was Calder Road, which will be changed to ‘India Drive-Bharat Marg’. President Kovind on Thursday met the top leadership of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. During this, discussions were held on strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of information technology, health, education, tourism and culture.
Kovind, who arrived here on the second leg of his two-Caribbean country tour, met Governor General Dame Susan Dogan and Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves of St Vincent and the Grenadines. The President’s Office tweeted that they discussed strengthening cooperation in the areas of information technology, health, education, tourism and culture, and in multilateral fora. Both sides signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) including exchange of information and assistance in tax collection.
President Kovind has arrived here with his wife Savita Kovind. This is the first visit by an Indian President to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. President Kovind will also address the country’s Parliament. St Vincent and the Grenadines is an important partner of India and both the countries are non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, according to an official statement. President Kovind has arrived here after visiting Jamaica. He also addressed the Joint Bucks of both houses of the Parliament of Jamaica.
He said that Jamaica has wholeheartedly welcomed Indians and given them a lot of respect and as a result of this, India’s rich presence here is not only in politics, but also in business, music, sports, apparel and food. is seen.
